PCFA Fall General Meeting

Join us for PCFA's next community gathering (free event!) at Tucson Village Farm! We’ll share a delicious farm-fresh meal of soup, salad, and focaccia, enjoy live music, and take part in hands-on fun at three activity stations:

• Fun on the Farm
• Become Your Own Sauce Boss
• Seeds of Creativity Corner

Please plan to arrive between 2:00 and 2:15 so we can all begin together. The program is designed for everyone to rotate through the stations starting promptly at 2:15.

Note: Tucson Village Farm has two locations. We will be meeting at Big Farm, 2201 East Roger Road. If you type Tucson Village Farm into Google, it may bring you to the wrong spot. Look for the windmill and the big white building, then join us on the back patio.

Book Discussion - The Molino with author Melani Martinez

  • 77 West Washington Street Tucson, AZ, 85701 United States (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

PCFA will host a conversation about food ways and belonging with local professor and author, Melani Martinez this November. Published in 2024, her book, The Molino: A Memoir, tells the story of her family's downtown eatery, El Rapido, which operated from 1933 to 2000. The book details the family's day-to-day, the significance of connection, and the impact of cultural displacement. Incorporating in her personal experiences of growing up with the family business, Martinez weaves a narrative of belonging and transformation through food.
